Kanda 16 · Verse 1
अजैष्मद्-आसन-आद्य-आभूम-आ-न-आसो वयं ॥ १ ॥
We have won over bad dreams today. We have acquired what we had wanted to acquire, realised our noble dreams. We have become free from sin and guilt.
हम आसन से लेकर आदि तक, भूमि से लेकर मुख तक सब कुछ जीत चुके हैं। हम सर्वव्यापी हैं।
Kanda 16 · Verse 1
Tenainaṁ vidhyāmyabhūtyainam vidhyāmi parābhūtyainam vidhyāmi grāhyainam vidhyāmi.
I fix this evil dreamer with that ineffectuality which is the consequence of his sufferance and painful performance: I fix him with want and poverty. I fix him with loss and deprivation. I fix
मैं उसे सर्वनाश से बचा हुआ जानता हूँ, मैं उसे पराजय से बचा हुआ जानता हूँ, मैं उसे ग्रहण करने योग्य जानता हूँ।
Kanda 16 · Verse 1
जितस्मकामुद्धिन्नस्मकामकभ्यस्थाम् विश्वां पृर्तनां अरतीः ॥ १ ॥
What we have won is ours. What is broke open, uncovered and recovered is ours. I have won all battles and frustrated all enemy's hostile tactics.
जो काम को जीत लेता है, काम के जाल से निकल जाता है, वह सभी युद्धों में विजय प्राप्त करता है और कभी हार नहीं मानता।
Kanda 16 · Verse 2
उषो यस्माद्-दुः-स्वप्न्याद्-अ-भैष्म-आ-पा-तद्-उच्छतु ॥ २ ॥
Let the dawn dispel the evil dream, of which we were afraid.
हे उषा देवी, आपके आगमन से मैं बुरे सपनों से मुक्त हो गया हूँ, जैसे अंधकार सूर्य के उदय होने पर दूर हो जाता है।
Kanda 16 · Verse 2
तदग्निरार्ह तदु सोमं आह पूषां मा धात्सुक्र्तस्य लोके ॥ २ ॥
This is what Agni, lord of light and fire of life, said, this is what Soma, lord of peace and universal happiness, said for me: “May Pusha, lord of life and nourishment, bless you”. I pray: May Pusha establish me in the world of noble action and blessed joy.
यह अग्नि के योग्य है, यह सोम के योग्य है, यह पुष्टिकारक है, यह सुकृत (पुण्य) के लोक में स्थापित है।
Kanda 16 · Verse 3
द्विषते तत्परा वहं शपते तत्परा वः ॥ ३ ॥
Take the evil dream to him that hates, to him that execrates.
जो मुझसे द्वेष करते हैं, वे मुझे शाप देने में लगे रहते हैं।
Kanda 16 · Verse 3
अगन्म स्वः । स्व र्गन्म सं सूर्यस्य ज्योतिषागन्म ॥ ३ ॥
Let us rise to heavenly light and joy. We have risen to heavenly light and divine bliss. We have risen and have joined with the light of the Sun.
हम स्वर्ग को गए। हम सूर्य के प्रकाश से स्वर्ग को प्राप्त हुए।
Kanda 16 · Verse 4
यं द्विष्मो यश्च नो द्वेष्टि तस्मा एनाद्-गम-यामाः ॥ ४ ॥
We send it to him that hates us, to him whom we hate to suffer (because of his curses).
जो हमसे द्वेष करता है और जिससे हम द्वेष करते हैं, हम उन दोनों से दूर रहें। यह श्लोक हमें शत्रुता और द्वेष से बचने की शिक्षा देता है।
Kanda 16 · Verse 5
उष देवि वाचं संविदान्ना वाग्-देव्युषसा संविदान्ना ॥ ५ ॥
Let heavenly dawn join with holy speech and
हे उषा देवी, वाणी के साथ मिलकर, वाणी की देवी उषा के साथ मिलकर प्रकाशित होती हैं। यह श्लोक वाणी और प्रकाश के पारस्परिक संबंध को दर्शाता है, जहाँ दोनों एक-दूसरे को प्रकाशित करते हैं।
